5 Months

Micah turned 5 months old on Sunday. Such the little man. He loves his doorway jumper-
A month ago it supported him - he kind of lounged in it, but today he is the master! He jumps and spins and watches the world go by.
This week he is beginning to learn to sit up. He's in the balancing phase, but you can see the beginnings. I can tell this guy is getting older, growing more into himself. He's been waking himself up at night with a leg or arm stuck through the slats in his crib -- he moves so much in his bed. I don't remember this being a problem for Naomi. (I had to go get a bumper to put in to solve this - here's hoping we get a little more sleep too!)
Micah is such a fun kiddo. He has mastered rolling over, spinning, laughing. While he has been the perfect baby these last 5 months, I can see quite the mover and shaker in there!!

How We Play

The staples of Naomi's playtime lately involve: doll things, 2 types of blocks, legos, and a collection of Playmobil sets (house, people, pirates and pirate island, sailboat, covered wagon). With the exception of her doll stuff, she usually combines them all. And plays with them in the middle of the living room. Here she has created a castle (from Shrek) and is using the Playmobil people to act it out.For her resting time, we clean up her toys and oput them back in her room. The other day, I heard in the last five minutes of resting time, "Messy Room!!! Messy Room!" And then a lot of crashing sounds. This is what I found:It may be that day that she and I cleaned her toys up at least three times. And by cleaned up, I mean sort, put away, and transport back to her room. Micah usually hangs out and watches. Here, Naomi pretends to play the cello on her "stage".And this is how we watch TV.
