Busy

Since posting the previous video, when Micah learned to crawl, in the week following, Micah:
-learned to sit himself up,
-got his first tooth,
-pulled up to his knees,
-pulled up to his feet,
-realized he can follow Naomi to her room

And this morning, I am positive he waved at Mark, and said "haaaaaaa".

All this growing and moving has made for rough sleeping, so we are all adjusting to our new squirmy Micah!

Little Brother and Some Firsts

There is so much sibling love in the house... And some firsts! Naomi and her friend Layla decided to make Micah the Prince...Isn't he handsome? And first bathtime. Yup, these will all be saved for some future slideshow at the most embarassing and sweet opportunity.

Time with Granddaddy and Dot Dot

Of course, a BIG part of being in Colorado was having Grandparent Time...

More Hiking in the Mountains

I'll be posting from our trip for a while - we had such nice time in the mountains! And getting to take Naomi and Micah there is such a treat.

The Dread Pirate Micah - 7 Months!

Dance Camp

Naomi had her first experience with dance class this week, and really loved it. In fact, she was ready to leave the house early every day! Here are some pictures and video from her end-of-week performance. The theme was "Tinkerbell's Peter Pan".

(more video to come)

A Mid-Summer Evening's Rain

Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the play, but while in Steamboat we went to one of the best play-going experiences of my life... ...A Midsummer Night's Dream, the Steamboat Botanical Gardens, and a rainstorm! There were 5 minutes left and the sky opened. We ran under an umbrella, waited for it to lighten up, and then the performers finished the show as those of us left huddled to stay dry.

The same group did another outdoor performance later that week - in a park we had to hike 15 minutes to get to. So beautiful, and wonderful.

Hiking, of Course!

What do you do in Steamboat in the summer? Well, turns out, A LOT of things. But definitely hiking. Here are some pics of some...

Sister Time

We just had one day in Denver, where I got to do the thing I love to do when visiting my sister - go shopping! And generally just hang out with no one else around. Thank you Mark for the kid watching that made that happen. I wish I had a picture of us from our trip (how do I forget that??) But, I can tell you about a couple of places we went. At the Savory Spice Shop I stocked up on cinnamon, it is seriously good (and I hear they are opening one in Austin soon?!) and we learned about the Peruvian Lime Chile seasoning - seriously good for fish tacos, nice on chicken, and generally good right out of the bag. Then we perused Fancy Tiger, where we looked at fabric and cool jewlery (my favorite necklace from my sister came from there). It is just good to hang out with her. The rest of the week was good family time with her - and I love that our kids are close in age and that we can all journey that part together. But I really treasure time with her on our own.
